There are a few really great places to catch outdoor summer concerts in Philadelphia, and as many groups taking advantage of those venues with appealing programming on the docket.
Let’s not forget about the FDR Park Summer Concert Series, kicking off tonight, Friday, June 8.
Discover a new favorite local band every month of the summer as they jam under the stars at the bandstand in lush FDR Park in South Philly. It was supposed to be the new site of the awesome Popped! Festival, but it got rained out; now’s your chance to rock out in the park for real.
The lineup includes singer/songwriters TJ McGlinchey and Dani Mari, folk-rocker Thom McCarty and roots-rock group Toy Soldiers. Tonight’s featuring Kevin Killen and GRIZ.
After tonight, concert dates are July 27 and August 31. They all take place at 7 p.m.
